I took a session with Psema to review 3v3 gameplay. I was sent some form so he could know me a bit better on what rank I am and what I am focusing on.
Based on the answers he found what is wrong in my replay after a minute and make the couching session suited for me. Psema really knows a lot about the game and every session is unique and what he told me changed the way I am playing RL now.
I have told him I am not a person to rank up or something but I wanna get better so his advice took me to another mindset of playing the game and after a bit of struggle I can see results and why he told me to practice it the way he said.
It opened a new door for me and different perspective.
I do not wanna say what he told me cause it can be different for every one but he really makes you better and if you have been coached before Psema will give you totally different perspective on things.
I would recommend Psema to everyone if you want to get better in the game and learn how to play Rocket League. After his advises I am having much more fun in the game and now I also understand why its working.

So i decided to take a lesson with psema in order to see my mistakes because its harder to critisize yourself. As a player i always lacked of decisions and rotation but my mechanics were helping me alot. Thats why i chose psema since he is more of a positional player + he is my friend and i know how he plays. So if you wanna get good and dont wanna only count on having good mechanics i highly recommend him since position is way easier to fix and more practical.

Recently I had a session with Psema. I feel he opened my eyes and made me realise what I have been doing wrong. I was stuck in diamond 1 and 2 for many seasons and now I reached champ 1. He is very honest and such a nice person. He only needed about 30 seconds of my replay to point out the biggest mistakes I make and holding me back. Few more sessions and I see you guys in gc 🙂

My son and I have not played RL in more than 3 months. He will be 11 in 8 days. I have been playing RL for just over a year and a half and have a couple thousand hours play time. This is my fist game ever, he has play Xbox and other games for a couple of years before that with his friends.
We might have played RL as a team just two or three games the last time we played. He has not played against me in 6 months or more. Maybe even a year. When we did play, he would almost always win, even with me playing every day many hours a day.
He was saying to me today, “You play so much, I think it is strange that I am still better than you.” I said there is no way you are better than me, I don’t think you can even take one game from me anymore, I just don’t think you know how much better I am now. He said, “No, I am still pretty sure I can beat you, what do I get if I do?” I said, “What do I get if I win?” He said, “you are the one that is so sure. I said what do you want? He said nothing I guess, but will you feel bad if I beat you?” I said, “No, because you won’t, this game isn’t like that you can’t not play and be good at it.”
So, I let him play about 5 games or so, I even suggested he play for a couple of days and get his legs under him again. He said, “No, I don’t need to.” He said he won all his warm up games, so he is ready. I played one warm up game and told him I was ready.
The first game we played, I missed like 8 shots in the first game, won every kick off, and won 3 -2. He came down and said, “See, I am still just as good at you.” He said, “Let’s play again. ” I said, “you did not see what was really happening, Ok, let’s play.” I scored 5 goals in about a min in a half, and he forfeit. He said, “I could not do anything you stole all the boost and you demoed me twice. I guess you are much better!!!” He said they should make the game play elevator music when you are trying to go with no boots….lol
I have had 6 to 10 coaching sessions with psema. I think I was a Bronze 2 or 3 when I first started working with him. He is a great coach, and he saw right away that I was playing a lot and practicing, but that I had no understanding of what the fundamentals of the game were. He had me drive around the field just doing flips and using my boost and power slide around the corners. Practice doing diagonal flips along a straight line. I had no idea I that how I was flipping was so bad. He explained how to keep momentum and how to strike the ball properly, and many other fundamental things.
It is hard to be patient, knowing I play so much, but my progress is so slow. I mean, psema made Grand Champ in less than a year. Then he explained to me the he had been gaming for 10 years before trying Rocket League. That there are still a bunch of fundamental things that I will need to learn with my controller, but I am getting very solid in the things I am doing and keep climbing my MMR and Rank, I have been just a hair off of Plat for over a month, I am expecting it any day. Psema, will help you see through the hype, and figure out how to create a foundation you can build long term progress on.
I recommend Psema.

I wanted to do some coaching because i didn’t know why i had been stuck in champ 3 for a while, not being able to hit GC. so coming in to this session i hoped psema would be able to point out mistakes i make wich i myself didn’t notice. 30 seconds into the replay he had already seen 3 things i did wich cost me a lot of speed. he then explained why i shouldn’t do those things and how i can improve on them. and at the end he set me up with some really good training packs.
I’d say psema is recommendable to any rank!

Er hat meine Wünsche (in welchen Skills ich mich verbessern möchte) berücksichtigt, mich dahin gehend analysiert und mir wertvolle Tipps und Trainingsbeispiele gegeben. Ich habe seit dem Coaching das Gefühl schneller zu spielen und näher am Geschehen zu bleiben. Mein Boost-Management sowie meine Kickoffs haben sich bereits stark verbessert. Alles in allem kann ich jedem dieses Coaching nur empfehlen. Psema ist ein netter Typ, der die ganze Sache schon ernst nimmt, aber das ganze nicht zu trocken rüber bringt. Ich werde noch weitere Termine mit ihm vereinbaren. Seine Deutsch-Kenntnisse sind btw ganz okay. Er versteht einen größtenteils, aber selber deutsch zu sprechen fällt ihm schwer, daher haben wir uns hauptsächlich auf englisch verständigt.

As a C3 player I was stuck on what I needed to improve on, I knew I needed to work on my speed and rotations at the least, but “How?” I ask myself. I have never done a coaching session before, and combined with my dumb ‘ol social anxiety I was a bit nervous honestly. But Psema was very patient with me the entire time and I felt more comfortable as the session went on.
I liked how during the replay analysis he always asked me what I could of done better in the situations we were viewing, it really made me think for myself. After the replay analysis he showed me some great drills to practice on my own time, and then wrecked me in a 1v1. Even smaller things like switching up my terrible camera settings and recommending new bindings to try out. The notes he sends after was a great touch as well :]. Overall,Psema was a great coach which pointed out things I wouldn’t of noticed for a while, and was professional and friendly. Sorry Psema, I can’t think of any cons atm. Thank you for your hard work, we certainly appreciate it.

pesma was very good in observing every little detail in my play style. Knowing exactly what I can improve on in order to see effective results was what mattered the most to me and that’s what I got!
