Last Saturday, Musty and Vince held off challenges from over 128 players in 64 teams to win the first ever GamersRdy 2v2 Tournament.
Congratulations to them both for winning and, of course, thanks to everyone who took part. Hopefully, we’ll see you all again in future competitions.
This tournament was labelled as a ‘Beta’ for the primary purpose of allowing us to learn. It was an important step because we’re now officially providing 3 areas for the community: Coaching, Resources and now: Events.
Of course, we have already discussed how things could go even better next time. One thing is certain, the next one we do will need to provide something unique whilst keeping in line with our vision of always wanting to help players improve at the games they love.
This tournament would not have been possible without all the people behind the scenes who helped out. A special shoutout needs to go to FLuuMP who did an amazing job of commentating even though he had never casted before!
Also, thanks must go to all the coaches and players that participated. Without them, there would have been no tournament.
We’re very pleased with how well the tournament went, so much so that we’re looking to run other events in the not-so-distant future. Keep an eye out on our Discord and Twitter feeds.
One of the highlights with Musty getting a flip reset goal:
I thoroughly enjoyed casting with FLuuMP. If you’re interested in coaching with me or with any of the other coaches feel free to check out the Live 1 to 1 coaching page.
